Manus, an AI platform developed by Chinese company The Butterfly Effect, is drawing significant attention during its early preview stage.

The tool, described as “agentic,” has gained over 138,000 members on its Discord server shortly after launch.

The platform integrates adapted versions of established AI models like Anthropic’s Claude and Alibaba’s Qwen to handle tasks like drafting reports and analyzing financial documents.

However, users have reported various limitations in Manus’ performance.

These include error messages, endless loops, factual inaccuracies, and inconsistent citations.
