Adobe will discontinue its 2D animation software, Adobe Animate, on March 1, 2026.

Enterprise customers will receive support until March 1, 2029, while other users will have support through March next year.

The company’s FAQ says Animate has served its purpose over 25 years but does not explicitly mention a shift toward AI-driven products.

Adobe did not name a direct replacement but suggested After Effects and Adobe Express can cover some Animate features.

The software will keep working for users who have already downloaded it.
