Adobe said on August 31 it expanded its partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Humain, a Saudi Arabia-based AI company backed by the kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund, to give eligible citizens and residents 12 months of free access to Adobe Firefly Standard and Adobe Express Premium.

Adobe said the offer covers more than 27 million eligible Saudi citizens and residents. It also includes an image-generation model jointly developed with Humain that supports Arabic-language prompts and is tuned to Saudi culture.

Adobe valued the commitment at more than US$4 billion, with free access set to start rolling out by the end of 2026.

The move extends an Adobe-Humain tie-up first announced in November 2025. That partnership aimed to help Humain develop Arabic content-generation tools for Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.

The expanded partnership now also involves the ministry for a wider rollout in Saudi Arabia.
