Adobe said on August 7 that it launched an Adobe plugin in ChatGPT. The plugin lets users create and edit images, videos, designs, and documents inside OpenAI’s chatbot on the web and app.

Adobe said the integration uses more than 70 tools including Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, and Illustrator. The tools can apply a consistent style across image sets, make short videos, customize templates, and turn datasets or spreadsheets into formatted PDFs.

Adobe said the plugin is available globally from August 7 on ChatGPT web and app.

Users can continue as guests or sign in with an Adobe account. Adobe said signing in unlocks generative features, access to Creative Cloud files, and the ability to save work across sessions.

The launch also fits OpenAI’s effort to extend ChatGPT into a platform for third-party workflow apps.
