Adobe CEO to step down after succession process
Shantanu Narayen told Adobe employees he will transition from his role as CEO once a successor is named and will remain chair of the board to support the incoming leader.
Narayen said he has led Adobe for more than 18 years and has worked at the company for 28 years.
He said Adobe grew from about 3,000 employees to over 30,000 and revenue rose from under US$1 billion to more than US$25.0 billion during his tenure.
He said the company mission, “Empower Everyone to Create,” represents a large opportunity in the AI era.
He said he will work with Frank Calderoni, lead director, and the board to identify a successor and ensure a smooth transition.
He said he will hold an employee meeting next week to discuss quarterly accomplishments and answer questions.
