Adani to invest $5b in Google AI data hub in India

Adani Enterprises plans to invest up to US$5 billion in Google’s planned AI infrastructure hub in southern India, CFO Jugeshinder Singh said.

Last month, the company partnered with Alphabet through AdaniConneX to build what it says will be India’s largest AI data center campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Details of the investment are still being finalized, Singh told reporters in Mumbai.

This follows a recent US$11 billion data center deal by Digital Connexion, a joint venture of Reliance Industries, and a US$1 billion investment from TPG in Tata Consultancy Services for similar projects.
