Adani, Jabil plan AI data center gear in India
Adani Group and Jabil Inc. said on June 16 they plan to form an alliance, subject to final documentation, to build AI and data center infrastructure manufacturing capacity in India.
Adani Group and Jabil said the platform will manufacture liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage, and networking systems.
The companies said it will also produce power and thermal management equipment for hyperscalers, colocation operators, and enterprise data centers.
For Adani, the move expands its existing data center push. Its AdaniConneX venture with EdgeConneX is developing 1 GW of capacity in India by 2030, alongside the group’s broader energy and infrastructure operations.
Jabil, which operates locally in Pune, also has a data center business that builds systems for compute, storage, networking, power distribution, and cooling.
The companies said the alliance comes as India’s data center capacity is projected to reach 5 GW to 8 GW by 2030, driven by AI demand, cloud expansion, and data localization requirements.
