Accenture Q1 FY25 revenue hits $17.7b amid genAI demand

Accenture reported US$17.7 billion in revenue for its first fiscal quarter, surpassing analysts’ predictions of $17.12 billion.

The growth exceeded revenue and profit expectations, driven by heightened demand for genAI services.

The company’s genAI segment generated US$500 million in revenue and US$1.2 billion in new bookings.

Accenture has expanded its data and AI workforce to 69,000, with plans to grow it to 80,000 by 2026.

Growth was particularly strong in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; as well as sectors like public service and healthcare.

New bookings rose to US$18.7 billion and shares jumped 6.5%.

Accenture raised its full-year revenue growth forecast to between 4% to 7%, slightly below the analysts estimate of 5.63%.
