Accenture considers $1.5b sale of China business: report
Accenture is considering selling its China business for up to US$1.5 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.
Accenture hired JP Morgan to review the China unit after receiving unsolicited interest over the past year, the report said. It may retain a significant minority stake, while private equity firms and other companies could bid for the business.
The report could not be immediately verified. Accenture and JP Morgan did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Accenture’s Greater China operations include mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The company recently forecast full-year 2027 revenue growth of 3% to 6%.
Foreign consulting firms in China have faced raids and data-related scrutiny in recent years.
Any transaction could face regulatory complexity as China has tightened rules for mergers and acquisitions.
