Ema, a Mountain View-based startup that uses teams of AI agents to automate human resources, IT, and finance workflows, has raised US$77 million in a series B round led by Bengaluru-based venture firm Creaegis.

Accel, Section 32, and Prosus also increased their stakes. The new round brings Ema’s total funding to US$140 million since it was founded in 2023.

The company said it has more than 50 active enterprise deals and over 1 million active enterprise users. Its customers include Google, Microsoft, PwC, and Wipro.

Before the series B, Ema had raised a US$50 million series A in 2024 led by Accel and Section 32.

Ema was founded in 2023 by former Google and Coinbase executive Surojit Chatterjee and former Okta executive Souvik Sen.

Chatterjee said the new capital will mainly fund sales and marketing as Ema expands beyond the US and Europe into Asia-Pacific, South America, and parts of the Middle East.
