Accel backs Indian AI firm as ‘ChatGPT for presentations’

Bengaluru-based AI startup Presentations.ai has secured US$3 million in a seed funding round led by Accel.

Founded in 2019 and having launched after a public beta in 2023, Presentations.ai has over 5 million global users.

The startup combines large language models with proprietary smaller models to assist users in generating content, selecting visuals, and match branding.

The platform features AI-assisted design tool, theme palettes, brand templates, and supports multiple languages.

The company envisions becoming the “ChatGPT for presentations,” as cofounder Raghavendra explained.

Presentation.ai allows users to export presentations in formats like PowerPoint and PDF.

The seed round included participation from notable Indian entrepreneurs, including Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma, CRED’s Kunal Shah, and Freshworks founder Girish Mathrubhootham.

The company will use the funding to improve features and build an enterprise sales team.
