Stargate UAE progresses with top tech firms’ backing

Abu Dhabi-based tech holding group G42 has said that construction is progressing on Stargate UAE, a 1 gigawatt AI infrastructure cluster in the emirate.

The facility is being developed by G42 company Khazna Data Centers as part of the broader 5GW UAE-US AI Campus.

The project, announced in May with partners – including OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco, and SoftBank – has a planned first phase of a 200 megawatt segment targeted for delivery in 2026.

G42 said engineering and construction work is advancing – with civil, structural, and architectural elements underway – and the first deliveries of mechanical systems received at the site.

Procurement of long-lead equipment is complete, and modular components are in production.

Stargate UAE is part of the country’s plan to expand national-scale AI infrastructure and support its AI sector.
