Abu Dhabi fund invests in US AI life sciences startup

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) has participated in a US$200 million seed funding round for the United States-based life sciences company, Lila Sciences.

This investment, made through a subsidiary of ADIA, is intended to advance the development of Lila Sciences’ AI platform and autonomous labs.

Other contributors to the funding round include Flagship Pioneering, the founder of Moderna, Blue Horizon Advisors, and several US venture capital firms such as Modi Ventures, March Capital, ARK Venture Fund, and General Catalyst.

The specific amount invested by ADIA has not been disclosed.
