A16z-backed AI developer firm in talks for $10b valuation

Anysphere Inc., the developer of AI-powered code editor Cursor, is reportedly seeking to raise several hundred million dollars in funding.

This round could value the company at nearly US$10 billion, a sharp increase from its US$2.5 billion valuation in January.

The startup has grown rapidly, reaching over US$100 million in annual recurring revenue within 12 months. It has received around US$175 million in venture capital from investors, including Andreessen Horowitz.

If finalized, this funding round would highlight strong investor interest in AI-driven tools like coding assistants and chatbots.

Representatives from Thrive Capital and Anysphere have not commented on the negotiations.
