A16z, Accel back US cybersecurity firm Armadin in $255.5m round

Armadin, a US-based cybersecurity startup founded by Mandiant creator Kevin Mandia, said on October 1, it raised a US$255.5 million series B at a valuation of more than US$2.5 billion.

Andreessen Horowitz and Accel led the round, with Bain Capital Ventures, Redpoint, 8VC, Ballistic Ventures, GV, In-Q-Tel, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures also investing.

Armadin said the funding came six months after it raised US$189.9 million in combined seed and series A funding in March. The company said its platform provides automated security testing for red teaming and penetration testing.

The company launched about seven months before the series B and had secured US$189.9 million in combined seed and series A funding on March 10, 2026.

Public material also described Armadin as a cybersecurity platform focused on automating red teaming and penetration testing.
