70% of Asia Pacific travelers open to AI handling work: survey

Booking.com’s Travel Predictions 2027 survey found that 70% of Asia Pacific travelers were interested in having AI handle some work while they were away. Another 47% said they would be comfortable letting AI manage emails and administrative tasks during a holiday.

The survey covered more than 28,000 travelers across 32 countries and territories. Booking.com said 90% would take a long-haul flight if they were guaranteed to arrive rested and refreshed. Among Asia Pacific travelers, 75% were interested in choosing a holiday to do something out of character.

Booking.com, an Amsterdam-headquartered online travel platform, has also introduced AI tools to improve planning on its platform.

Rival Expedia has also rolled out features that help with planning through conversational AI, suggesting this support is becoming more common in online travel.
