7-Eleven operator reportedly selling US outlets
Japanese retailer Seven & i Holdings is reportedly considering selling its US 7-Eleven outlets to address antitrust concerns amid takeover talks with Alimentation Couche-Tard.
However, the company said that this does not mean it has accepted Couche-Tard’s US$47 billion acquisition proposal.
Earlier this month, Seven & i noted that Couche-Tard would need to divest its US stores for the deal to proceed.
The two companies have since signed a confidentiality agreement to share information about potential buyers for their US operations.
