A report revealed that over 60% of Indonesian crypto investors are aged 18 to 30.

This data, from Bappebti and reported by Kompas, highlights strong youth involvement in the sector.

The findings show that 26.9% of these investors are between 18 and 24. Meanwhile, 35.1% fall within the 25 to 30 age group.

Bappebti’s head, Ir. Kasan, stressed the importance of financial literacy. He highlighted the need for young investors to understand crypto investments, aiming to reduce financial risks.

Despite recent declines, Indonesia’s crypto transaction volumes are robust.

From January to September 2024, transactions reached 426.69 trillion rupiah (US$27.10 billion).
