Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is reportedly in discussions with established car manufacturers for potential partnerships in electric vehicle production. These include the likes of Brilliance Auto and Chery Automobile.

Xiaomi itself is waiting for approval from Beijing to be granted an EV manufacturing license.
