Vingroup chair Pham Nhat Vuong will donate almost all shares of battery firm VinES Energy Solutions to VinFast.

This creates a merger that will likely improve VinFast’s battery technology capabilities and manufacturing chain as well as give it access to VinES’ global technology partners.

The deal also aims to increase VinFast’s competitiveness in the electric vehicle market.
