TikTok has vowed to address issues raised by the Malaysian government regarding non-compliance with local laws, according to a company spokesperson.

Representatives of the short-video app are expected to meet with Malaysia’s communications regulator next week. Malaysia’s communications minister earlier accused TikTok of inadequately moderating misleading or defamatory content.
