TikTok has responded to the Malaysian government’s claims that the platform was censoring pro-Palestinian content, calling the allegations “unfounded.”

Previously, Meta also denied similar charges. Both companies consider Hamas a “dangerous organisation” and have restricted content endorsing it. The two platforms have also ramped up content moderation efforts in response to recent violence in Israel and Gaza.
