The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is mirroring that of microwaves in the 1980s, according to a Bloomberg Green study. The tipping point is considered 5% of new vehicle sales, a mark that 24 countries have now crossed, signaling the start of mass adoption. The research suggests that EVs can jump from 5-25% of new sales in just four years, with countries including Thailand, Canada, Australia, Spain, and Hungary joining the likes of the US, China, and much of Western Europe.
