China-based ecommerce firm Temu has been gaining traction in Japan and South Korea, surpassing its rival Shein in app store rankings.

Between July and the start of November, Temu spent the most days at the top of app stores’ rankings in both countries in terms of the number of downloads among ecommerce platforms.
