Telegram has secured US$210 million from a bond sale to various investors, including its CEO Pavel Durov. Although the company has yet to make a profit, the funding places it nearer to breaking even.

The global messaging application, which has been seeking to launch its IPO for several years now, has increasingly turned to bonds as public markets lose appetite for listings amid a slowing economy.
