SoftBank paid almost US$1.5 billion to WeWork’s lenders, including Goldman Sachs, shortly before the co-working space provider filed for bankruptcy.

WeWork, whose valuation once hit US$47 billion, is planning to abandon 69 leases. Most of them are in New York City, the filing revealed.
