Shein has agreed to a licensing deal with Reliance Industries to re-enter India, allowing Reliance to fully own the domestic business, while Shein will support and train over 25,000 local suppliers for its branded products globally. The deal could generate US$6.1 billion of Indian exports if it handles one-fourth of Shein’s global demand.
