Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have received indefinite permission to supply US chip equipment to their China factories without additional US approval, aiding the South Korean firms’ strategic management in the long term.

This, says South Korea’s presidential office, will also improve the stability of the global semiconductor supply chain.
