The Philippines will sell tokenized treasury bonds – worth roughly US$179 million in total – for the first time on Monday. The final interest rate will be announced later this month.

This follows a trend among Asian governments to explore the use of blockchain and tokenized securities. Earlier this year, Hong Kong issued around US$102 million in tokenized green bonds.
