Food delivery firm Meituan is considering acquiring the Southeast Asian business of Delivery Hero in a bid to diversify its operations beyond China. While there are ongoing discussions, there’s no certainty on if these will lead to a deal.

Meituan, which operates in over 2,800 cities and counties in China, expanded to Hong Kong earlier this year.
