SoftBank’s billionaire founder Masayoshi Son has vowed to launch an “offensive” on the tech startup ecosystem after a relatively dormant period. Son told SoftBank’s annual shareholder meeting the group has sufficient cash to invest, and spoke of his enthusiasm for AI. The comments coincided with a 4.1% rise in SoftBank’s shares.
