Indian tech firm MapmyIndia could be better positioned than Google Maps to cater for the varied demographics in India, despite Google’s dominance of the B2C market, according to the former company’s representatives.

MapmyIndia, which offers digital maps and geospatial software, boasts greater location pin accuracy and lower costs.

The firm has a large corporate and government customer base and hints at plans for overseas expansion, but continues to face competitive pressure from its larger American rival.
