A Malaysian court has granted a businessman 700,000 ringgit (around US$146,000) in damages following a cybersecurity lapse at crypto firm Luno. The court determined that the crypto e-wallet provider was guilty of negligence.

The case was initiated after an anonymous hacker stole over US$125,000 from the claimant’s wallet.
