Malaysia is considering regulating TikTok’s ecommerce operations, potentially affecting the firm’s Southeast Asian online retail goals. Ahead of his meeting with TikTok representatives, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the government is mulling over the need for social media platform registration and a global minimum tax.
