KKR will acquire up to US$43.7 billion of PayPal’s European buy now, pay later loan portfolio. The deal is expected to close in the second half of the year and generate about US$1.8 billion in gross proceeds for PayPal. PayPal said that following this, it will set aside around US$1 billion to repurchase shares.
