RuralNet, a Philippines-based insurtech startup, has raised US$2.2 million in a seed round led by local VC firm Kickstart Ventures. Other investors that participated in the fundraise include Kaya Founders and Foxmont Capital.

The funds will help expand RuralNet’s brokerage, CashKo, which provides microinsurance solutions to SMEs.
