JSW Group, the Indian steel-to-energy conglomerate, is in preliminary discussions with Chinese automaker Leapmotor to license the technology for the production of electric vehicles (EVs) in India under its own brand. This marks JSW’s second endeavor to enter the burgeoning EV industry, while it is also reportedly considering an acquisition of stakes in MG Motor India, part of China’s SAIC Motor Corp.
