State-supported Japanese startup Rapidus aims to establish a globally competitive semiconductor manufacturing plant in Japan by 2027.

Billions in subsidies support Rapidus’ ambitious plans, which can offer job opportunities to more than 200 people. The company will begin testing its chip equipment in 2024, with a view to mass-producing chips within four years.
