Jack Ma, Alibaba Group’s founder and former chairman, has invested in a recently created fishery and agriculture startup called “1.8 Meters Marine Technology (Zhejiang) Co.” The company, based in China’s Hangzhou, was launched with a capital of $15 million. It falls within Ma’s interest in sustainable agriculture and food production following his departure from Alibaba in 2019.
