Indonesia has launched its first carbon credit trading exchange to help decrease greenhouse gas emissions. At the launch, 13 carbon credits were traded, totaling around 460,000 carbon dioxide equivalents.

Hoping to become a major player in the global carbon trade, the country has set a target to reach carbon neutrality by 2060.
