Hong Kong-based crypto firm Mixin reported a US$200 million theft by hackers, marking the largest cryptocurrency heist this year, according to research firm Elliptic.

The company noted that the loss was due to its network’s cloud service provider being hacked. It added that it has temporarily halted user fund withdrawals.
