Chinese startup LandSpace Technology Corp has successfully launched the first methane-fuelled rocket, outpacing competitors including Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The ZQ-2 rocket was lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, marking a significant milestone in China’s efforts to rival the US in space dominance. This comes after the rocket failed to take off in December due to an abnormality in one of its engines.
