Enflame, an AI chipmaker backed by Chinese tech giant Tencent, has secured about US$273.68 million in a round that saw participation from funds affiliated with Shanghai government and other investors.

The startup jointly developed an AI chip named Zixiao with Tencent, which also joined Enflame’s latest fundraise.
