The Cyberspace Administration of China is considering relaxing data transfer regulations that may benefit local and foreign businesses involved in overseas trade.

Proposed changes include waving data export security assessments for cross-border manufacturing, marketing, and trade. It is also considering foregoing assessments for activities like job applications and hotel bookings.
