Foreign visitors to China can now link their foreign credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard and Discover, to WeChat Pay and Alipay, the country’s major mobile payment solutions. Previously, a local bank account was required and the change will enable tourists to utilise China’s widespread cashless payment ecosystem.
