Cashfree, an India-based payment gateway platform, is reportedly looking at a potential sale due to a funding shortage, with POS startup Pine Labs leading the potential buyers. However, disagreements over valuation have stalled talks. Previously, Stripe and Razorpay were also in discussions for acquiring CashFree, but both have now withdrawn. Notably, Cashfree recently denied any buyout talks and insisted it has paused fundraising efforts amidst changing market conditions.
