Carsome Group, a Malaysia-based online platform for used cars, is slashing hundreds of jobs to curb costs in a bid to achieve profitability before a potential IPO.

The layoffs primarily affect Indonesia- and Thailand-based employees of its 4,000-strong team. Despite postponing its dual-listing plans amid macroeconomic instability last year, the firm aims to achieve its first profitable year in 2024.
