ByteDance has rejected reports that it is shuttering Pico, its virtual reality business, after falling short of expectations, according to Pandaily. The rumors come as Pico, which makes VR hardware, has been underperforming amid declining sales and job cuts.

Sources from Pico and ByteDance, however, said operations are continuing as normal.
