Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani has pledged US$38.5 million to his alma mater, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. This brings his total donations to the institution to US$49 million. The funds will be used to foster research in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and green energy, and to support the deep-tech startup ecosystem.
