Belgium’s intelligence service is monitoring Alibaba’s main European logistics hub over espionage concerns after suspicions that China is exploiting the increasing economic presence of the Chinese ecommerce giant in the West.

The move is part of broader scrutiny by European governments into the potential security risks posed by Chinese businesses’ expansion into Western markets.
